Job Search: Working Through Hiring Obstacles As a Person of Color

Finding a job is hard, but finding a job while being a person of color is down right challenging for many of us.

The job search is different for people of color. The recent Fast Company article, This Is What It’s Like To Search For A Job As A Black Womanexplored the challenges black women face while looking for jobs. On Wednesday, January 31st, we produced a conversation about what it’s like to job search and navigate Corporate America as a person of color. We explored topics on cultural fit, salary, the notion of “working twice as hard and being twice as good” and unconventional ways to get the job you want. Attendees left with advice and tactics for navigating the job search and making it work for you in 2018 and beyond.
