Pitch Perfect: DIY Tools to Gaining Press for your Brand & Biz

$200.00

For the last five years, I’ve contributed to a variety of outlets and worked with several editors to highlight the stories of people of color and all women. Everyday I receive countless pitches from publicists, founders and professionals looking for media attention. Whether they have been trained to media pitch or not, I’ve seen many great stories that never see the light of day because the fundamentals of a pitch are not there, the angle is not clear or all your hard work was sent to the wrong journalist. Now is your time to get back to basics and start setting yourself up for media success.

In this workshop, understand the fundamentals of what the media industry is and how it operates. Discover what makes a good media pitch and the elements to including in your cold pitches. Learn how to find the right journalist to pitch to and understand how to create angles to leverage media opportunities.

This workshop is for founders, professionals looking to share their expertise and PR practitioners who are hitting a dry pitch with gaining placements for their clients. It’s always good to refresh your knowledge of the game from a contributor writer’s perspective.

*You’ll receive a link to the webinar as well as worksheets.

TESTIMONIALS:

“Brittney was able to give us tools needed to:

  1. Get our email open
  2. Get the reader of the pitch thinking
  3. Pitch to the right person

This is just a snippet of the valuable information she shared.

Using the information within the session will also help me improve my writing when blogging or posting other content since she also covered SEO.

This class is geared towards people who want to pitch media outlets on covering their stories and products. However, she made sure to walk the room and speak with the attendees prior to presenting. I told her what I’d been working on concerning collaborating with organizations and she made sure to include inserts on how to do this from an influencer/collaborator standpoint in her presentation. She made adjustments in real time to provide me with additional information geared specifically to my needs as a collaborator.

I left with tools that I can immediately apply to my next pitch.

I’m excited to attend more “Lemons 2 Lemonade” sessions. If your pitch is already perfect, I would go for the networking alone.”

“I’m an overthinker on my recovery journey, and Brittney is one of my healers!! She has helped dismantle the giant that is PR in a way that has made it possible for me to find AND act on opportunities confidently.I remember right after I took one of her courses, I used every bit of advice she shared and used it to pitch myself for a major speaking gig on a topic that was atypical for the event. Needless to say, it was well received and laid the foundation for a number of media opportunities on TV and online media outlets.”
